The Sydney Morning Herald Bombs, Everyone Is Surprised

Paul Whittaker, editor of The Daily Telegraph attacked the performance of his rival: "These results prove that there is plenty of life left yet in print even though our main competitor has effectively abandoned the field for their print products."

The argument here is what numbers have shifted to digital? I can't say I'm not surprised: I barely read the Saturday Herald anymore as the writing seemingly gets worse and worse. I'll scan for any good syndicated content and then dive back into the excellent Review supplement that comes with Friday's Australian Financial Review.
