Kripy was a graphical email delivered to your inbox every Wednesday. And it will be again. I just want to get the fundamentals right. Still based in Sydney, I’ll be handpicking the usual goings on – openings, launches, gigs, art, film, fashion and everything else in between.
We’re all about community, and we love our art. Once a week Kripy showcases an up and coming artist – to get their work seen, and to get them to keep making it. Do that thing you keep putting off. You push Kripy, Kripy pushes you.
I’ll do my best to get art out of people but I’m not going to chase peeps anymore.
Kripy likes to keep it fresh, and mix it up. Don’t show up at the same night over and over again, sitting with the same crowd and wondering where everyone else goes the rest of the week. There’s no fun in that.
There is no fun in that but Sydney’s weekly standards will find a place on the site. I can attest to showing up to the same old weekly, the night I loved, but I’ll be pushing the promoters not to front with the same old press release week on week.
Most of all, we want to hear from you. Are you an artist? Show us. A designer? Show off. Make films? Show them. Make music? Play louder. Let us know whats going on – if it is any good, we’ll look after the rest.
I’d like to encourage banter between Kripy and the kids out on the front lines be it as a promoter, shop owner, curator, designer, anything online, book binder, you name it. I’m just really sure what or how right now.
Because Kripy wants to get you out, and keep you there.
This still holds quite true.
One last thing – for the moment there is no we in Kripy, just me. Not because I don’t want the help, hell no. I just don’t have the time to manage an inbox and get out the words from day to day. I’ll bring the kids back in when the time is right.
