A Good Old Fashioned Photo Caption Contest Starring Angus Truskett and Craig Nicholls

Angus Blazing with Craig NichollsTruth be told, part of the reason I ported this website from Tumblr back to Wordpress (and I'll delve deeper into the whole Tumblr debacle down the line), was to poke fun at the expense of others. (I'll tell you what - I kind of find it extremely refreshing that at the present, when everyone is either kicking it on Facebook or drilling into Tumblr, that the few kids I know, me inclusive, that have been over the whole blogging thing and writing in general have decided to bring it and are "redesigning/refreshing/re-establishing" their online presences).

Now the image (hi-res/wallpaper version) that set this whole thing in motion came from a late night Google image search/bomb/festival that returned this amazing photo of my good buddy "Angus Truskett" and Vine's heavyweight Craig Nicholls, post interview, taken at the Annandale Hotel presumably when Angus was still at school, wearing Converse, and eating Clag. Thinking he was getting a scoop interview with drummer Hamish Rosser of which he'd researched and whipped up a bunch of ball-tripping questions, he rings on the bell and is given two thumbs down due to some unforseen girlfriend dramas. (Rosser's, not Angus'). Some blinking, raised eyebrows, and uncomfortable silences later none other than the (at that time) reformed captain of the band himself comes walking down the stairs to go toe-to-toe with a curly-haired panda-eyed lout who though he was getting the drummer. Good times.

Now.

You'd probably be able to extrapolate a hell of a lot more from the image if you knew the guy so you're going to have to use a combination of other people's more learned comments and your amazingly vivid imagination to come up with a caption that truly captures this still motion masterpiece. If you own the caption enough, I've managed to fleece a copy of Leave Them All Behind III from the Recordings kids, which is yours no questions asked. This inglorious slab of techno was compiled by none other than compilation king Chris "Da Wrigglz" Wrigney and is surprisingly (although we never doubted the guy for a second) solid. Not too "banging" but still worthy enough to blaze out to on the highway when trying to annoy Western Suburbs teamsters.

Just ensure you leave a "valid" email address so I can get in touch and we can "talk".
